ok, so it's time for me to join the realm of blogging. Well, here goes...
Well, I started a screen printing shop in 1990 out of my home. I used to work in an automotive factory where I was doing detail drafting and drawing the illustrations for the instruction booklets. What does this have to do with White Line Enterprieses you ask? Well, I never really thought about even printing t-shirts and such till one day when deliverying blueprints around the factory. Oh yeah, I was also running all the blueprints to be distributed all around.
So, delivering the prints got me talking to a lot of people in other departments. Well, that one day I dropped of a set of prints to someone in accounting who happened to be a band booster mom at a local high school. She just ask, out of the blue, if I'd ever thought about printing shirts. To be honest, NO. At least not until that day. That was the spark that started White Line Screen Printing.
In the spring of 1990, I started my teny tiny shop with the least amount of equipment possible. For months I was hand cutting and making screens to print various jobs. It didn't take long to know I had to get computerized or I wasn't going to be able to keep up. Then a computer system was in route.
more to come...
